Short Animations
Project Objective: Create animations that support product content for emails and social media.
Contributions: Illustration, typography, graphic design and animations.
These animations were designed to support email and social media campaigns while designing for FYE. When creating these animation I kept in mind aspects I would like to see as a fan interested in these franchises. Additionally I used animation to elevate the content beyond a static image and condense large collections featured in promotional emails to be more accessible to email subscribers.
The horror tees animation was inspired by gritty, grind house style horror films. Many of the featured tees belong to ‘70s and ‘80s era horror classics. These films often had small budgets, practical effects and were not free of film distortion. The design captures those calls to classic horror films.
The Predator Funko Pop animation plays into the camouflage technology and heat signatures used by the Predator in the film series. To elevate the design further I added the triangular target. The targeting system is a signature design feature in the Predator franchise. This animation was a call to fans to pick this exclusive product to complete their fan collections.
The Marvel Funko Pop animation was designed to showcase the deep collection of Funko Pops without making it an endless scroll. The design was inspired by classic arcade fighting games that often featured superheroes. The small squares and feature box mimic a character selection menu on these classic gaming machines and connect with fans through comic books, video games and pop culture.
