I have had the opportunity to collaborate with the Blackstorm Productions team on several occasions creating title cards for original shorts, movie posters and merchandise. The founders behind Blackstorm are very creative story tellers that shape a very open space to develop ideas into compelling content.
FANTASY FOOTBALL MURDER MYSTERY PARTY T-SHIRT DESIGN
Blackstorm Productions original 5 part miniseries FFMMP is available on youtube. It follows a group of friends whose rural Fantasy Football draft goes very wrong in a wild and funny series of events.
Blackstorm Productions wanted to support this original content with a limited edition T-shirt. They had already established a key scene with the discovered murder as a major feature of the design and had fonts established in the visual brand of the miniseries. From there I sharpened the illustration and developed the football grid Iron as the background. Overset I created a classic X’s and O’s play series used by teams and created the image of the axe head on the field.
Y2K MOVIE POSTER
Blackstorm Productions first short film Y2K is a story about a group of kids on new years eve 1999 before the Y2K bug hits.
Technology, youth and the unknown are at the heart of this short film. I approached this design from and illustration perspective and developed the image with the concept of microchips with trace lines connecting components. These lines form the portraits of the actors and reveal the movie tagline.

Pizza being the heart of this short film I quickly took to pizza box designs to inform the typography and design of the title card that opens this exciting short film.
